Grand Ledge faced off against two hard playing St. John’s teams Thursday. 

The B team played well and came out on top winning 28-21. The Comets were led by Olivia Hejnal with 10 points. Cady Baumer had 6 points and 7 rebounds. Lexi Sandusky had 6 rebounds and 6 assist.  

The A team won 27-13.  The Comets relied on the long ball, making 7 three’s.  They were led by Eleyse Sanders 8 points. Mayson Morgan and Lexi Raska each had 6 points, and Tomia Geter had 8 rebounds. 

The 8th grade girls played a doubleheader Monday at St. John’s. GL took on Ionia in the first game and battled to a 14-5 halftime lead and going on to win 28-9.  They were led by Sam Powers with 6 points  and Clare Powers with 5 points.  In the second game GL took on St. John’s in a defensive game in which GL won 17-14.  GL was let by Ava Jackson, Cathy Baumer and Sam Powers with 4 points each. Olivia James had 5 rebounds. GL is at Holt on Wednesday.
